bonez downpipe cat converter??

did a search but no luck.

what is the difference between these two catalytic converter?
year 89-91 non turbo

1) 2.5" piping from BONEZ $315.

2) 2.25" piping from BONEZ $335.
Two high flow catalytic converters.

http://www.rx7.com/store/rx7/fcexhaust.html#Nonturbo

besides the number of cat (pre), Does both pass emmisions?
if so, imo 2.5" will be a better choice, less cat (pre) to interfere air flow.

One is a 2.5" piping and have only one highflow with a presilencer and the other one 2.25" piping dual hi-flow

2.5"
The Bönez Street Exhaust Systems utilize an ultra high temperature, high flow catalytic converter that has been specifically designed to handle the high exhaust temperatures the rotary engine produces. 2.5" piping feeds into a pre-silencer before feeding into our high flow catalytic converter. These systems simply bolt up to the stock exhaust manifold and connect to the stock or aftermarket cat back exhaust systems.

2.25"

The one with the presilencer will function just fine to allow your car to pass a sniffer test (if the car is in good condition). It may not pass a visual test in CA.

The one with two cats will allow the car to pass the sniffer and the visual test. You notice that the two cat is smaller diameter, and with two cats will be lower performance.

I have the single cat and it passes sniffer just fine in Texas.
