Headlight Motor Burnt Up??

Hey guys,

My headlights were in fine working order until the other day when I went to put them down - only one went down. I tried it again and the passengers side headlight won't go down. I tried to reset it with the crank and thats when I noticed the motor part right above the crank was really hot, the other side was perfectly cool to the touch. What might have happened here?

Thanks for any input for a fix or explanation.

I have a set of headlight motors out of my T2 parts car located in Toms River, NJ. PM if you are looking to buy one.

it's just acting strangely, the motor must still work because it resets it self if you try to adjust it manually without unhooking the electrical connector. I dunno, I barely looked at it, I was just curious what would cause that to get so hot, I assume it's an electrical motor in there so I was thinking it burnt up.

What about the head light motor relay? I would check into that also.
