Bolt broke off inside block! Please advise...
One of the four bolts that hold the turbo manifold to the block broke on my motor. None of the bolt is potruding (sp?) from the block, it's all inside the hole holding the bolt. I was advised to the using a bolt/screw extracter bit after using a smaller drill bit to drill inside the bolt, but it didn't work. I'm really frustrated and I have no idea how to get it out without taking it to a machine shop, which said they'd charge $75 to get it out. Should I just take it to the shop, or is there another way to get it out? I was also advised to "tap" it out, though I'm not very familiar with this method. I'm getting desperate, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully I'll wake up to some good advice, thanks in advance...
Hit it with some liquid wrench or PB Blaster a couple times maybe even let it sit overnight and try the next size bigger bolt extractor after drilling a bigger hole. You have to drill the hole long enough too to get the bolt extractor bit in there. If you drill a hole too short, the bolt extractor bit will have nothing to really grab onto.

Tapping it out would work but if your not very good at it you might run into problems when putting it all back together... If the bolt extracter idea previously posted doesn't work take it to the macine shop and save yourself a headache...
