boiling

i went outside thismornin to work on my car(try to find the vacccum leak) and after about 7 or 8 minutes my coolant was boiling!!!
help!!
what could be causing this

how could you tell it was boiling... if you had the cap off it would defiantely boil because its sealed system to build pressure....

was it boiling out of somewhere... did you have something off of the engine at the time?

For starters: Thermostat, cooling fan clutch, clogged radiator. If it hasn't done it before, only at idle, I'd look to the fan clutch.

it was boiling into the coolant resevoir....

prolly a dented raidiator,do you have clean coolent? look in the coolant resevoir, is it dirty or is there oil(if you see some make sure it's oil and now moss or some crap)
