Question bogin bad

i have a 91 n/a with a bit of a problem when i push the petal down just past average driving it losses all power starts sputering and this continues throughout the petal but when i bring my foot back up it clears right up . but it only does it fter ive driven a coupkle of feet for instance i get in start it up back out then begin to drive i can punch it and have everybit of power that it should have but soon after if i try to punch it the problem starts regaurdles of the temp of the car so far i have replaced the mas, the feul filter, the plugs, the wires, the airfilter, checed the vacume lines could any one give me the answer ive also i also had to bypass the heater core with a solid pese of hose if that could affect it any ive also noticed very very bad gas milage when i drive it whitch i rarely do .

oh yeah i forgot to ad the part about how jacked up my cat cnvter is when i bought the car they had taken off the cat and the front cat they desroyed the link between the 2 in the prosses so i had the old main cat welded back on w/ no front i figured id take the chance on is being bad as it wasnt cloged or burnt up ne way i was wondering if this to could be a problem as of now the cat pops alot during warmup

very well could be a clogged cay but i would look at a tps first or a busted omp sensor that is triggering limp mode. best thing to do is pull the codes and work from there . if you do a search on how to pull codes you should find everything you need

sounds like the same problem i had with my 89 vert... busted omp, so i changed to a different omp (bought from rotaryresurrection) and solved the problem...

still bogin

i have now replaced the omp, fixed the lines, and it still does it. the only thing that changed was the codes. it was spiting about 5 codes before i forget them now most were the omp now it shots me 2 codes a 26 and a 27 which are both omp and concidering i had just replaced it and nothing changed i think its something elts that trigers those codes somehow i dont know not the most experienced at this. plz help!!

i also think it depends on the temp of a certain part of the car not the engine but something .

yeah its not your omp i have the same problem... when it does this does it kinda feel like its running on one rotor? and this happens when its a little warmed up after youve drivin it a little right? this happened to me after i put a clutch in and got my reverse/5th gear wires from the neutral safety switch hooked up backwards... im still in the process of messing with mine to see what it is

no it runs fine as long as i dont try to accelerate quickly and yes it on ly happens whene ive drivin about a block th only time i got it to do so while sitting was after wraping it up for aboput 15 mins and the engine is not allways at the same temp when doing it so ...i dont know im running out of money time and ideas

im sure it has to do with the trottle or the amount i push on it rather after about halfway through the peddal it starts like some kind of fail safe im assuming for the omp.
