Unhappy Bogging in my TII

Ok so my problem is my car is bogging and its REALLY ANNOYING... i can't even run around just giving it gas. it'll bog out and i'll have to shift..

things i've done to try and fix the problem
1.spark plugs
2.spark plug wires
3.fuel pump

and that's about it.
would anyone know what i should do next?
i'm really stuck on what i need to do and i miss smashing on the freeway and around the streets

sounds like you're hitting fuel cut. Do you have a boost gauge?

yeah, it's hitting fuel cut. when stock boost pressures go above like 8 psi (I think?) the ECU will cut fuel so you don't overboost.

To fix it you need to get a fuel cut defender.

(depending on what year)

but you also need to:

A) get an aftermarket boost gauge to keep tabs on what boost you're actually running (the stock boost gauge is not accurate and won't help at all)
B) if it is too bad (above 10ish psi) you need to take off your turbo and port your wastegate (or take it to a performance shop that knows how to do this).

These are both very important... if you don't do them after getting the fuel cut defender you could easily blow your engine and/or your turbo

Modifying the exhaust to be more free flowing is what increased the boost.

it's impossible to tell, that's why you need a real boost gauge.

I'm not sure how much porting the wastegate would cost, it'll depend on how much you do yourself (if you take off the turbo youself) and it'll depend on the shop you take it to.

Their all over the classifieds. You could probably pick one up from a local member in your area for pretty cheap. I'd also recommend picking up a boost gauge as the stock one sucks worse than... well.. well just say it sucks.

Stock turbo is good to 10 psi, 12 if you port the wastegate.
