Bodykit

Any tips on installing........how and what do you need for installation? Might have to do it myself,. Already test fitted it and it will fit perfectly.

I did mine myself and I used the stock metal hardware. you'll need the metal plates from the front and rear bumpers. make sure you measure a BUNCH of times and only drill once though.

Hope this helps at least a little,
TR

how did you put the sideskirts on, is it possible to attach it inside the wheelwell and in the door jam. The rear bumper attaches under the trim on the bumper(doublesided tape maybe?) The front is a full nose piece and has the proper mounting stuff. just really wondering about the half rear skirt and sideskirts.

thanx

as far a sside skirts...what kit did you buy?

the bomex I have had experience with has recessed holes at the back of the fender and front of the quarter for rivets, then you can glass over top.

Then rivet in the wheel wells, and panel bond on the door sill

Also build brackets to retain the lower lips on the bumpers unless you feel like cracking the bondo off when they flex, and they will flex even in the wind.

and Im sorry but I just have to comment being a body man.....no bodykit in the world gets test fitted and just goes on tickety boo - you say yours fits "perfect".....in your eyes.

anyways, good luck with the install, keep us posted?

well its the BMagic kit. The rear is a half skirt and the nose is a full nose, the bmagic d1 kit was made for the 86-88. The mounting for the nose lines up fine and the rear can be put on with doublesided tape with rivets in the wheel wells. As for the sideskirts rivets in the wheel well along with doublesided tape for under the trim ion the car. This is the pics for the kit. Does this sound about right or what?

Welp farther inspection for the rear theres a tab that goes up under the bumper cover so I could rivet the bottom from under the car.

Cool you have pics of my car. The body kit is easy to install. The rear is alittle trickey. we used 3m doubleside tape with selftaping screws. with the sideskirtss you have to twist alittle to shape the sideskirt. If you need more info just email me at rabaltazar@juno.com or pm.
Thanks Robert
P.S. the kit on my car is fs and more pics : https://www.rx7club.com/a-149/aitracing-bodykits-fs-504421/
