Body question for s4's

I want to convert my s4 to s5 exterior and from what ive learned the only real diffrence exterior wise is the color matched body moldings, the front bumper and obviously the s5 tails.
I wanted to start by painting my moldings to match the body. Does anyone know how those moldings come off? And if they do come off and i paint them will it look just like the s5's?
Thanks bros.

on S4's they are stuck on with some sort of adhesive (I think there are also screws in the moldings with the parking lights in them) you should be able to take them off carefully with a knife or something. I dont know if they will look JUST like S5's (I think S5's have the moldings as part of the body instead of stuck on) but it should look pretty decent. Id rather leave them as they are (prehaps repaint them) as I think it looks better that way.

You can just remove the moldings. Don't have to paint them or what not. They are ugly if you ask me.

if you put an S5 front bumper on an S4, it wont quite match up(where the moldings on the bumper meet the moldings on the fender) S5 moldings are shaped differently as well.

I plan on removing my body mouldings and smoothing out the lines where it was. I think the car will look alot cleaner. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a material to use?

they make something called norton speedgrip u can try that but i work in a body shop and ive seen so many cars come in that people try to mold stuff together or fill in body lines and it will always eventually cracks out and looks really shitty and it ruins the car.. molding stuff is for trailer queen cars....unless u wanna weld metal in there and do it good enough to only have to use a tiny bit of putty.....good luck

Don't forget the rear bumper is also different, same with sideskirts (S5 TII only).

If you fill do it right and lay a piece of metal over it. Ive seen to many "lets take out the mouldings and fill with bondo" hack jobs

While we're on the topic... if this is a hijack, I'm sorry...
Anybody got any pics of S5 bumpers on S4 cars?

I picked up an S5 bumper to replace my semi-fucked up S4 bumper a while ago, I just am curious how it will look.

Someone also told me the S4 fenders don't line up well with the S5 bumper, and it looks funny??? This true?

Thanks,
James

Actually dDub did NOT have a problem with the lining up of s5 bumper to s4 fenders.

Search 1FastT2 for his car. He had a s5 bumper with all s4 components .

I don't think the S5 bumper has a problem lining up with the fender, its that the fender "straight line" looks better with the S5 bumper.

Total changes would be:

S5 front + rear bumper, side moldings, aero mirrors, taillights, and get a lip :P

front and rear bumper go on easy, but you should do the molding too. I just did S5 front and rear few weeks ago.
