Its a custom kit. FD front end, hood, bumper, fenders, looks like headlights too. Maybe a T2 scoop molded in. That would probably cost a ton of money to do. Does look good though.

If you lived in Japan, and were a millionaire, then I say go for it!! That is a custom kit using an FD front clip.

Penny-anty PC bullsh!t...

Having lived there for more than a few years, I can tell you that (in my experience), most of them would look at you rather strangely if you called one a "Jap". Now, if you called them a "Nip", they might infer that you were abbreviating "Nippon-jin", which is a person from Nippon (what we call Japan - I really don't know why, they've never called it "Japan", and it is their country...).

That being said, the only people you could reasonably hope to offend by using "Jap" would be Americans (who may have come from Japan - or "Japanese-American" for you PC types), or Japanese students who both speak English and understand American culture AND are overly sensative.

I say "overly sensative" because you'd honestly be shocked to see/hear what is said about Americans in the Japanese media at times. "Jap", being an abbreviated "Japanese" is pretty tame by comparison.

Just keeping things in perspective!

The point is, "Jap" was a term used over 50 years ago during a war that we didn't ask for, but certainly finished by grace of God. I'm nowhere near 50 and I doubt you are either. Use defines form friend: nobody uses it in a derogatory context anymore. In fact, the word was used in a statement that showed respect for the extrene ingenuity of making the kit work!

If you're bothered by the term, I'd be interested in knowing why. Personally, I'd be more offended at all the "ricer" terms running around -- at least that has justification AND is negative in context. Oh well, just goes to show you can't please anyone....

I'm 4th generation japanese and from hawaii where the pearlharbor bombing still is an issue, and it's just like the N word for japanese-american people.

The word really throws a unearned negative connotation toward many earler generation japanese, and japanese men in the 442nd that fought in WWII. I'm personally not offended by it, because I do realize that it's not derrogatory, its just not "racially concious" for a lot of people.

Hope that helps. ^_^

ps~
Yes im slightly offended by ricer as well... but I think it's become more of a definition to describe ridiculously ostentatious cars that try much too hard to be "asian" (especially those 'ricer' escorts >_<) rather then a rcial slur. It's become like a word all it's own, no longer describing a people per sey, it's become more of a objective description of an actual object, as opposed to decribing and objectifying people. I hope this makes sense?

Im full japanese and i feel the same way that maeda does. Im not an overly sensitive biatch so dont even bother with that argument. its the same as calling a black person the obvious. the reason why nihonjins dont see any relevance is because its a derrogitory term for japanese americans. if you called a black person from africa the n word, they probably would shrug as well.
