Are the wheels even going to fit? Are the studs and offset somewhere near an RX-7? That's one of the things you gotta check. And i'm pretty sure 255/45/17 will fit in the rear. Ask the suspension section, or read that long *** thread.

EDIT: I'm running 225/50/16, which is about, if not the exact same size as a 225/45/17. I also have eibach progressive lowering springs and tokico blue shocks, and I have yet to experience any rubbing. Had these tires on my car for about 15k.

I have 17x8 Exel Mimi wheels with a 35mm ofset. I do not get his wheels just the tires... FYI the Lug pattern on almost any 5 lug BMW is around 120mm..

With the 35mm offset the tires will work perfectly.

im running 235-45-17 in the rear and 215-45-17 in the front, just find the right offset and you should be fine.

I don't think 255s will fit on 8 inch wide rims, most people run them on their 9 inch rims. if they do fit, they'll be way oversized. but if you can get your hands on some 9 inch wide back rims, or just have your rims widened it'll work fine.

Hmmm.. I wonder.. I'll have to measure.. Or have them widened at worst case..

I think that 255's should fit. I think I've seen 255's on FD 8" wheels.

but yeah, the tires /should/ work... you can always just use a short spacer!

I'd think that rub issues would be far more pronounced in the front either contacting the fender or the inner fenderwell while cornering.

I dont think the BMW bolt pattern fits FC's. We are a 114.5 and they are a 120.5
You can try it but I am pretty sure it will not fit. I also own a BMW Dinan 740iL and I took the 18 inch M-pars off and put on Rentech 20''s.

Yeah, I know the wheels won't fit... But is isn't giving me the wheels just the tires because they were too noisy on the interstate.... I won't be able to hear them over my exhaust so I could care less.
