Blue Top ?
Blue Top ?
has anyone here used a Blue top battery from optima for ur car i used this battery in 2 diffrent cars and in both of them it has trouble starting i have to kick the car over a few times before it trys to start i dont know if i just got unlucky and both cars have bad starters or what i dont have another battery to try it on
Maybe the battery is bad? The Blue top is a Marine/Deep Cycle battery, but it is a battery so it should work just fine. Easiest way to find out if it is bad is to go to an Advance Auto or something of that sort and have it tested for free!

The BT is a marine battery. As such, it is sort of a cross between the YT (deep cycle) and the RT (starting battery). It is not a strict deep cycle battery, but does stand up to cycling more then the RT. It is designed primarily for long, lower current discharges.
Frankly, all Optimas for the past few years have been very poor quality. The Optima company was sold, and are now making a lot of batteries for the discount stores. Thus, quality has suffered.
I recommend another brand, like Exide or Deka (my favourite).
