*confused* how would a catch can help? Is there no way the pressure regulator (not having the solenoid valve), and purge control valve (not having it either) could be causing the issue?

And do you mean the oil control rings in the turbo or on the rotors?

Check your intake pipes for oil. If they have oil on them then a compressor side seal is obviously not working well. Its prolly a good idea just to rebuild your turbo with that many miles anyway, even if there arnt any apparent issues with it. Im guessing its the oil control rings in the engine....not the turbo seals

Does the car spew oil smoke on startup after sitting for a week or more? This was the only case, other than high RPM decel in gear that my car would smoke.

It only smoked on decel and the higher the RPM i was deccelerating from the more smoke there was. I got black flagged at a couple of tracks for it.

But, if it sat without running for a week or more it would also smoke. If it sat for more than a month (winter storage) it damn near engulfed the neighborhood in smoke.

But it would never smoke under boost, it would never smoke while crusing, if it only sat a day or two it wouldnt smoke on startup. Thus most of the time as long as i drove it often and didnt put the engine under high vac -20psi or higher. It didnt smoke.

I know that my oil purge system was working perfectly and my turbo was not having any oil blowby. There was also never any oil in any part of my intake at all.

Plus when my builder tore the engine apart the control rings were in pieces.

Well I dont even have the PCV installed, so would that somehow cause oil to go into the intake? Or would having the PCV installed cause oil to go into the intake?

Args, currently I have the purple line coming off the bottom of the neck going to the blue line thats going to the charcoal canister. Im going to fix that tomorrow when there is more light out.

My primary air bleed hose came off. (the one that goes from the oil injector thingys (I Think thats what they are) to the back of the throttle body) Im going to put that back on and see if that helps.

BRBs (YAY taking off the UIM for the 10000000th time!!!!) hahaha

it's time for a rebuild buddy. i had the same problem, smoking only after a certain rpm and during start up. the smoking even went away for a while when it was cold but when i tore my engine apart the oil control o- rings were shot.

well im going to switch turbos first. Then just drive it under 4000 RPM for ever till I save up for a rebuild. I will do the rebuilding / porting myself so I Dont see why I would need more than $1500.

We will C how the turbo swap goes first though.
