"Blown motor" swap question?

Sad but true.....but I met some dude that gave me a hand diagnosing it and he's got acces to a running motor but its and auto and i'm not too sure...he said that it would work, but you have to take out the tourque converter??? What about the engine harness and other possible differances??? Thanks for any info
Kurt

im 95% sure that you just bolt them together (thats after you take the tourque converter, flexplate and counter weight off. then replace it with your clutch and flywheel). wireing is not a problem. $500 is a good price if it has good compression.

starter is different too.

you also need to put a pilot bearing in and as long as you are using the same series engine the wiring should be the same.
