Blowing main fuse after running a while?

I've had the issue come and go but tonight it has happened twice. The car will run fine then blow the fuse after 5-10 mins. I am running a 3rd gen alternator without a modified harness and a 80a fuse. I don't know where to start looking and what to do. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

I believe most people who upgrade their alternators also upgrade the output wire of the alternator because the stock version isn't really up to the task. Might want to start there.

A 3rd gen alternator can output more than 80 amps, so upgrading the wire AND the fuse is a good start.
