blower & turbo
heres something that hit me during this mornings Church sermon (i know, bad of me):
why do more ppl use turbos than blowers when force inducing their 7s?
other than the obvious reason that mazda designed the motor with turbo versions and the fact there's no "real" supercharger kit for the wankel, what are the advantages of using a turbo rather than a blower?
i would assume the instant power of a blower would be beneficial to racing applications.

i guess if there was a ready made SC kit for the 7 then more people would use it...but i think most ppl on here want monsterous power so a turbo would be better...also...hell..if the exhaust is already going out of the system....why not make it power something

Camden Superchargers are made to readily to fit the FC.
Even so, I can't say that the investment for the SC setup qualifies the return when the same investment turboside would have greater profit.
I think Sonicrat and a few others have gone the S/C route with good results however.

Turbos are more efficient than superchargers are, specially the crappy roots/twin screw S/C in that link. If I was to get a S/C for somthing, it would be a cetrifugal S/C unless there was a Whipple made for the car I was doing. Whipple is the only S/C thats about as efficient than a turbo. Roots and twin screw S/C are the worst lol with effeciency and the centrifual is in the middle. It really all depends on your application, but in my opinion, turbos over all are the best.
Plus, all that "instant power" talk isnt always 100% right, is some cases a S/C doesnt hit peak boost till redline, sure, you get SOME boost right away, but not all. You can setup your turbo to be a peak boost befor 3000 rpm, and when your launching your car, your gonna be above 3K, and you just gotta keep the rpms there, thats why light *** flywheels are'nt that great of an idea for a turbo car...

I'll be running a Centrifugal blower on my Vert. I'm hoping to make between 220-240 whp.
