Blow off valve question????????

In adjusting the blow off valve, should you adjust it to hard or soft? I heard if you adjust it too soft...you will leak boost. Is that true?

i'm interested too, i have a type-s and my friend has a turbo civic with the same BOV, and he was telling me to adjust it. so i did, and it seemed like if you have to tune it... too much in, and it blows off too easy (and i think i lost boost), too much out then it blows off too late... maybe it's just a psycosomatic thing though...

Wink

I dunno about the Greddy TypeS BOV, but the Apex BOV that use to have, the user manual recommended it be adjusted soft enough to the point that it doesn't leak at idle. It also said that if your running high boost, it should be set a bit harder. The harder you make it, the more chances it won't blow off all the air...so just set it soft to the point it doesn't leak, then tighten it towards hard a couple turns...like 1/2 way to MAX, that should be fine.
