The plastic wire loom (even the high heat resistant one) is only good for like 300F.
It's going to melt in a jiffy.
I'd hate to see you go through all that trouble just to run into stupid problems like this later on.

Yea we worked this weekend hard.
His words on the fender are, I have to cut all the mounts and redo them still. Then force the bottom under the car and hope the fender don’t crack in the middle. The whole mold is not pressed well.
I am waiting to hear from RO again about them picking them up from my door. If they refuse I will think some more, they pissed me off and I want them gone. So I am still leaning towards my attorney handling it.

Accessories prep
The wiper motor was disassembled fully for proper painting and polishing. All cylinders are cast steal so these were sanded and ground smooth all the way to 120grit then whipped for paint. Nothing does not get attention paid to it on this car, nothing. The paint as said on these parts is also a 3stage dry pearl so a smooth surface is a must.

Shaving and body work
Prepping door to be shaved and the red marker is marking all the dents.
The door molding metal should be cut 2.5in, the door is 56in long.
Custom work on edge
Ok here is all the welding of the door moldings and handle. This is the proper way to shave but note you WILL warp the metal. You do not lay beads either you go around the item giving cool down time just spotting it in until the welds are about .5cm apart.

Shaving the rear, welding the badges up.
Stud gun and puller
Studs to pull the warps out of the door. This is repeated and bumped down to shrink the metal back. The skin is somewhere around 24 to 28ga metal. Oil caning happens and takes some work to get strength back into the door.
After the door has been pulled
Bondoing of doors
finish puddy and so on

Sure few bux drop it off and pick it up latter. 42$hr
I know it’s been a while since I have posted I do have stuff to post. I have just been in this battle with my fenders and it looks like I am going to win.
On top of that my camera broke it’s off at repair place. Sunday Allen wrecked and broke his collar bone riding with me so my body man is out and I am not going to try and fit them fenders when I have him around.
But the paint job looks sick since I color sanded and buffed it.

i really wish i had the time/space/materials/tools/money/patience to do what your doing, id love to shave my trim and add the RE front cap but hell, likei said i have none of the makings to do so. What your doing is simply amazing, from the RHD swap up, jesus, this car is going to be practically brand-*******-new. I cant wait to see the outcome, even as it will be pink its still going to be sick as hell.

You are doing a friggin crazy job man, keep the pics coming!
and that is the only car with pink I would be proud to drive

The calculated total to finish the car is 50k$ and my labor is free except for interior because I am paying someone ells for that.
Labor is several thousand hours.
