Angry Blew My Motor Racing

**** I'm still shocked what happened and I didn't get much sleep either.
Last night I was coming home from a friends B-day party and I was heading back home when I noticed a car following right behind me on the on ramp to highway 400. I decided to kick it and peeled down and the car followed suit. This car had no trouble keeping up with me and managed to pull beside me. It was the infamous Toyota Supra. I was so damn excited and I wanted to test how well my car would do againest such a beast.
So here we go in 3rd braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap 15psi at 6500 rpm, shift to 4th braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap 15 psi at 6500 rpm. At this point the Supra had half a car length on me and he had to turn into the middle lane. That was his mistake, I think he hestitated on the throttle and I passed right by him at this point and I shifted into 5th gear braaaaaaaaaaaap the boost creeped up to 18 psi and I kept on going and the car was shaking violently. I guess there was so much adrenaline pumping that I didn't hear anything pop. My stop was coming up and I noticed that the car stalled! I turn on my hazards on at this point and the Supra highbeamed me from behind (He was probably pissed cause my hazard lights indicated a win but I was really indicating that something is wrong with my car)I got off the highway stopped along the curb and try to start my baby up again. She wouldn't start too smoothly and she sounded awful with alot of backfiring, popping chuggin and no low end torque. My worst fears has come true. I blew my rebuilt motor with only +15000 kms on it.
**** I'M SO PISSED! This is gonna be a big bullet to bite. I rather take it up the *** than this.
CHEER ME UP!

I have done that 3 times now. Don't feel bad. There is nothing you can do about it, but build it better next time.
For some reason, our cars suffer from boost creep? It doesn't matter how big your wastegate is. It happens to everybody at some time or another.
My next engine is going to have a pop off valve on it set at 15 PSI.
Also going Haltech and J&S Knock Sensor.

Smile Thanks

I feel like such a newb. This is my 1st RX7 and I owned this car for 3 mths now. Before I got the car, I studied it, admired it, read all sorts of articles and I knew how prone these engines are. My mechanic warned me not to beat on it. I've been very good breaking in the engine, giving it frequent oil changes and I try not to let the boost past 1 bar (15psi) for a long period of time until last night.

I guess during the rebuilding process, this will give me a chance to really understand what sorts of stuff I have (i.e size of the turbo, who made it etc) and what stuff I might be lacking (Pop off valve, extra injectors, etc) I want a bulletproof 15psi FC.
Anyone know of anyone with a bulletproof T2?

It can happen to just about any turbo car when you start messing with the boost levels. The difference is that a piston engine will be much more forgiving with overboost & knocking.
