black reverse gauges?

hey is there any reverse gauges that are black during the daytime?
I like the stock gauges, but Id rather hae the numbers light up blue like in my HKS boost gauge.

Ive found some nice ones but they are white during the day.

iduno if this would work but you could try just replacing the lights in the stock gauges with blues ones since they are already black during the day.

aren't the letters and number using orange film to make them orange? putting another colour bulb shouldn't change the colour correct? or has anyone done it and can prove me wrong?

I kinda like the orange, my pionere head unit has orange lights and matches great, part of the display is even blue which matches nice with the safc, and I do belive that changing the bulbs would have little effect maybe you could make em look red with red bulbs but the color is in the gauge faces not the bulbs, the stock bulbs are clear

If you replace the dash illumination bulbs with red bulbs the dash will light up red (I did it). replacement bulbs in red for the cluster you can find at most "fast and furious" auto part supplier with the exception one small bulb that you will have to either dye with glass stain or use tail light repair tape to make the bulb red. It was cheap to do and looked pretty cool.

However, I don't think it would work with any color but red .... because the gauges are back lit orange.

because orange + red = red

but using blue bulbs .... orange + blue = brownish?

I've always been interested in black background reverse gauges. Everyone carries ugly white face gauges that don't fit the stock interrior (they can however fit some aftermarket interrior setups well, don't flame me).

Trying to find someone to carry reverse black gauges for the FC is tough. I'd be interested though.

I plan on using the white and blue setup later in my 10th anniversary. The white I feel will match especially well with the crystal white theme. Don't worry guys, I am saving all of the stock stuff for reassembly later should I not like it... Likewise when I get an aftermarket CD player that'll be blue lights too, plus www.mazdamark.com has the logicon so that you can get it in any color you want! This'll be so neat and cheap too! I'm excited!

I think someone should be making a full color conversion kit for the dash and other parts... get rid of that nasty orange.

Umm...I don't know what you're defining as backlit, but there ARE bulbs behind the dash that when turned on make the displya light up so that would be BACKLIT.

Granted, there are also front bulbs that light the front of the guages as well.

I do know that someone here was working on the ac panel--the logicon. I think it may have been aaron cake, but not sure. Whoever it was, he made them available in different colors, like blue, green and purple. do a search in this section for it. anyways, below are the guage faces I have--if anyone wants these let me know I know where to get them
