Thumbs down Black residue in OIL LEVEL ROD and HIgh OIL Pressure!!

Background:
1988 RX-7 N/A GXL MANUAL!!!
Small Street Port
OMP Completly blocked off
Running on PREMIX ALONE!!
WAS REBUILD 100 MILES AGO!!!!
Using Castrol 20w-50 GTX
CASTROL OUTBOARD 2 Cycle PREMIX OIL ( TCW-3 CERTIFIED)

Problems:
1. The Engine seems hotter than what it used to be before rebuild.

2. There was what seemed like a black residue on the bottom 2 inches of the oil level rod.

3. The guy who installed the starter and actually got the car running rev my bitch up to 5k rpms for about 1 mile. ( before i started to curse an dyelled at him )

4. The car had been droven for about 100 miles.

5. He set the idle to 2k rpms!!!! I ve tried screwing

down the little screw on the top of the trottle body but is still 2000rpms.. how can i lower that?

6.It starts fine with the gas pedal to the floor method.

7. The compression is about 75 on each rotor.

8. The oil pressure stays between 35-50.

PLease if you have any comments or answer to teh questions above please type the number and ur response.

THANK YOU ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR HELP WITH OUT YOU I WOULD OF NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO ANY OF THIS!

Change your oil and see if the residue comes back. 20W-50 will result in higher oil pressures. It is a thicker oil...Have you verified with a mechanical guage? The stock guage can sometimes be unreliable...

75 on each rotor is not that great either. Who built the engine? How were you testing compression? Be gentil with the enginie, bitchslap the guy who installed the starter. Try not to let the revs get past 4K before the engine is completely warmed up. And I wouldn't redline it for the first 500 miles or so.

P.S. if you can't get it to lower the idle, you either have a vaccume leak or your timing is way too advanced at idle. Timing can be adjusted by retarding the crank angle sensor (looks like a distributor). Use factory specs until the engine is good and ready (after 5K miles or so).

8. The oil pressure stays between 35-50.
5. Get him to set the idle properly, with a small streetport you should be able to have a normal idle.

8. This is low not high. You should see 30psi at a 750 rpm idle. Above 2500 or so you should see 60psi. Check with a mechanical meter. btw - did he do the thermo pellet mod?
