87 or 88 wiring harness?

I am doing an injector replacement on my 88 gxl. I accidentally bought low impedence injectors. I know that you can just wire the resistor pack in. My question is, can I just use the wiring harness from the same car that i have the resistor pack from? so just to clarify, Right now I have an 88 running high imp. injectors. Can I swap the wiring harness with the resistor pack onto my current ECU to use the low imp. injectors? The reason for this harness swap is that I think I have a short in the 88 harness.

or rather, I need to know if I can use the wiring harness from a car with the resistor pack to replace the harness from a car without the pack.

Same model and series, should be able to be completely replaced.

Its when you throw in things like AAS and ABS or different series that make the harnesses not interchangeable.

For example, a 88 GXL harness with AAS, but not ABS should be able to be swapped with a 87 GXL w/ AAS harness.

But a 87 Sport harness, would not work into the 88 GXL as the Sport didn't have the AAS.
