tonybcrazy: I'd definitely be up for one, providing it isn't too much trouble to ship to Australia, i'm sure there would be alot of interest on www.ausrotary.com also, if you go ahead with this, i will run a group buy there and get a batch off you.

PM me if you go ahead with this.

Hey I like the idea of an aluminium nipple secured with a TIG tack. Be sure you get the nipple long enough, and machining a barb to help secure the hose wouldn`t be a bad thing either.

OK I`ll shut up know.

So basically you want him to double the time and complexity of making these things for something you could do yourself with basic hand tools? Price would certainly increase.

Actually if you had read farther up you would see that this was his idea, not mine. Also, I don`t mind paying a little extra for someone who , it appears, has a machine shop at his disposal to produce the part in complete form. I`m sure I could do it but I`m not set up to do it, he is.

There's a lot of places you can take aluminum parts to get anodized.

The only thing I might offer in terms of anodizing is a clear hard coat. I will prob just leave it up to the buyers since its an extra step and more lead time for you.

Umm not really sure still not sure how much im gonna charge. I need to make a first article piece using my fast run programs to find out how long they will take. The nipple would only be about 2 minutes to machine about a minute to drill and tap on a cnc and about a minute to tack weld. I dont know if i should weld it though cuz if it does leak it wont be fixable. Some red locktight might be an easier solution.

I think I will be charging $35 for the plain neck and maybe up to $45 for the ones with the nipple.

My plastic one cracked last winter and was spewing coolant. I came in the next day and my dad had one from NAPA or something. It was aluminum. I think it was actually pretty cheap, I'll find out.
