7X16 eh? Wtf is that on, a drag-gokart? You mist mean 16X7.. in which case I wouldn't go wider the 225.. but you might get away with 235's.

So, maybe I'll go with 225's in the front and 245's on the rear. Will I get any rubbing?

supposedly not with the stock wheel size and offset in the rear.... i cant say for the front. i am kind of wanting to go 225 up front as well but it seems questionable on the gap between the tire and the spring

225-?-16.. I need to know the profile too. I'm putting my car on blocks soon to get the stock rims powder coated and then getting new rubber to go with them. I'd like to go bigger tires in the rear than 225's.I have stock springs on it by the way.

Yes, I having the 10ae rims powdercoated with matching white. Thanks for the size advice,
I will go with the 225/50/16 up front and 245/50/16 in the rear. Discount tire will be doing the mounting without the car, so I hope they fit when I put them back on..

225x50x16 TOYO T1R front and rear with Tanabe springs (lowered the car an inch all the way around). I'm getting some rubbing in the front on the springs with real hard cornering. Guess it depends on the profile of the springs and tires from brand to brand. Plenty of people have said they have no problem with 225x50x16 up front so...

YOu might getaway with it in the rear.. but I believe its isn't safe to run anything wider then 225 on 7 wide rim as it will flex alot.

That's kinda the understanding I got from Ted and others last year. Seems like there may have been some other issues as well.

well do you think 225's in the rear are sufficient for say 250 at the wheels?

any traction issues?
