Thats your problem. It probably also doesn't have an ACV or it isn't working right. If you are worried, just get a high-flow cat like the bonez unit from www.rx7.com, or similar.
Nothing bad is happening, btw, its just unburnt fuel. Its also a great anti-tailgater feature.

Its fairly common:

Yup, full exhaust here, RB header and straight through custom header back. It pops every once in a while, on twisty roads where I'm running it hard its a lightshow in my rear view

Hell ya I love throwing flames at 7K RPM. It's normal for our cars with no cats. I was being such a ricer this weekend throwing flames infront of all the hondas I saw at night. People seem to love the idea that I can throw flames with ease.

I had a fireball go across the top of a tail-gater's hood and climb up their windshield before. It was the coolest ******* thing ever.

- straight pipe w/ no cats
- Apexi N1 catback

I love it, sounds pretty awesome and shooting some fire for NA Rx-7's is normal. It happens when I'm driving regularly and people go ape **** over it because they are so big! lights up both side view mirrors and the rear view.

well, it's the best way to get pulled over and have the hood popped. Congratulations!!!

I know it cannot be helped sometimes but I don't think this is the case in this thread.
You're either the stupidest person on the board,

the most inconsiderate or

just plain DEAF

if you think it's acceptable to rev to redline in your neighborhood in an open piped NA (no matter the time)

best thing you can do is get a better exhaust system and stop shotting flames 24/7.
