well funny you should mention that.. i was gonna just use tap, but decided against it and bought some demineralized drinking water..

speaking of cooling and heating, i installed an e-fan from a 1988 Grand am (just look for a 2.0 OHC GM 88-92 e-fan) and she runs anywhere from 10-20 degrees cooler on average.. given i have only driven it once, but (it was a 45 minute drive) it NEVER hit up as high as you see in Aaron Cake's picture.. the hottest it got was DEAD centre, otherwise it was just a tad below

i bought the stuff to do my cooling system, but didnt get time, so today was just the e-fan..

i inspected my connections.. i have a wire leading down towards.. uhh.. somewheres.. but theres a female connector thats MOUNTED to the sender (not male like in the pic) thats not connected to anything..

keep in mind i still get a reading of up to 60 psi

I got that pic from the 94 FSM, because there's no pic in any of the FC FSM's that show both the oil pressure and water temp senders. The FD's oil pressure sender is taller the FC one and has a different connection, but everything else in that pic is identical. Sorry for any confusion.

There must be a wire connected to your sender or the gauge won't read anything.

 

you guys know that water wetter is carosive to aluminium! not only does it say on the bottle but i have seen its wounderful work first hand. I am not saying i does not lower temps it does that very well but is IS carosive to alum.

NOBODY was able to adequately explain to me, and that picture does it perfectly.

 

Glad that helped. I was pretty pleased to find that picture, because the none of the FC FSM's have a picure of both of the senders together, and there was always confusion when you told someone where the water temp sender was and all they saw was the oil pressure one.
