Unhappy Is it BETTER for a TII if it runs COLD all the time?

I just installed a new fan clutch and now my TII runs super cool. Is that a good thing? The cooler the better? I do run high boost all the time...should i be concerned?

Question

What do you mean "super cool" ? What's the reading on the temp gauge ? Of course its better to run cooler than hotter. And how much did the new clutch cost ?

My TEMP gauge never worked properly before, I'm not really sure. All I know is that it read between 1/4 & 1/2 level before when the car was fully hot. Now after getting the new fan put in, it never goes over 1/4, even a tad lower and stays there when the car is fully HOT. Even after a hard run, I open the hood and feel the coolant lines and intake manifold and its a lot cooler then before...the new fan blows pretty hard.

The clutch is meant to allow the fan to 'freewheel' when the temperature is low enough, and to 'engage' when higher. I would not expect the fan to run continuously at full speed.
On my TII when I start the car the fan comes on at full speed for a few seconds, which is very obvious by the noise level, and then drops to a much lower speed. The only time I would expect to hear the fan running at full speed would be in either heavy traffic, or after a high speed run.
The problem with having the fan running at full power is the drag on the engine - which could be as much as 4~5 HP.
