a better question..please read!!
the screw came out of the front of my pulsation dampener (regulator) and Im not sure if the screw should be tighted all the way down or not. on a couple of cars in the junkyards that I go to the screw is out of the hole also which leads me to believe that it isnt supposed to be tightened down all the way. help me! I gotta put the car back together tomorrow!
on a side note, I just bought the 87 from a guy down the street and I have also found that there is a GIANT resident BLACK WIDOW in the rear suspension, I would have killed it but I cant find it!!

The screw must be tightened so the engine dosent burst into flames. Not to tight though. Search "Pulsation" under the user name "HAILERS" and you will find a load of stuff on exactly what you are doing.

Don't worry about black widows, their venom isn't all too bad, and only the females anyway. Now, if you've got brown recluses running around, then I'd be afraid.

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
Replace the PD, do not re-insert the screw.
If the screw came off:
#1 the PD has more than 75-100K miles on it.
#2 it is very hard to get the screw back to the correct position. Too far in and you rip the boot/diaphragm or the PD doesn't work, not far enough and the boot/diaphragm will rip from the boot/diaphragm moving too much.
#3 you need to use loctite on the screw if it gets re-installed (and you can get it to the exact right position.

Yeah I agree with icemark just because the life of your car depends on it. As far as the black widow just get a can of brake parts cleaner and spary the hell out of that area it should make it run out. I know i will get the hell out if someone is sparying brake clean next to me.
