best way to drill out broken bolts???
just about every bolt on my turbo assembly is broken or striped and im wondering what is the best way to drill them out and tap them i ahve a dremel but it dosent seem to be doing much to the broken studs.. after i get them out will it be okay to tap it for a little larger hole?
TRY THIS FIRST!!!!!
Screw extractors are great to get the existing bolt out, if it works theres no need to tap it and die it.
Just drill a small hole for the extractor to grab, and your set. Penetrating lube first is always a good idea. Space may be limited, guaranteed to be a pain in the ***. I would try and keep everything the same size, if possible.

Removing broken bolts is a learned skill so if you have not done it before, practice on something worthless before you ruin a good assembly.
The only real option is to drill out the center and then use an extractor (DO NOT BREAK THE EXTRACTOR IN THE BOLT!) or a reverse drill. If you can't get the broken bolt out, then you will need to drill it out to the size of the hole and retap or use a HeliCoil.
