Best tuneing options?

I got my engine re-built with a street port and cermenet B houseings. For my 89 T2. Imported from J-Town. In the next month I plan on haveing it running to start the break in process in the spring. The thing I am haveing trouble with is trying to decided what programe would best suit my tuneing needs.

I have the straight back exaust with a 3' D/P. For the time being I plan on useing the stock turbo for at least this year, when I upgrade the turbo it will most likely be a BNR stage 3 turbo. I plan on running probably max 7-10 psi on the stock turbo and mabey 15psi on the new turbo in futor years. For this year I am planning on getting a FCD, a boost controller and a larger fuel pump.

I am haveing trouble decideing what to do about tuneing. If say a S-afc II will sufice for the fuel managment or if I would be better off getting something with more tuneing options. I dont plan on haveing a 500 WHP beast or anything, I just want to be able to run my car safely. Just wondering what people with more experiance would suggest. What other mods would you suggest to keep this engine running safely.

( Also I am haveing problems finding the bolt sizes and length for the UIM and LIM, as well as a couple misc. parts. If anyone has that, that would be great)
Thanks for all the help.
Mike.

OK,

well first off if your gonna get a boost controller you will need to port the stock wastegate...otherwise that boost controller will do nothing...(with a boost controller you can go no lower than you go without the boost controller)

second, you should get Megasquirt if you want full standalone...or if its an S4 go with Rtek (Rteks webpage) (upgrade to stock ECU) as a lot of people are very happy with that (me included)

get a Walbro 255LPH fuel pump - 100 bucks
720cc secondaries - depends where you get them...mine were 150 shipped

get yourself a 3 inch TID...and a cone filter...you will boost much faster

then just run 10 PSI on stock turbo and upgrade to a new turbo when you are ready...

that will give you probably 220rwhp on 10 PSI...

I already ported the waste gate. Sorry. Should have mentioned that. It is an S5(89).

He would rather not go standalone right now so hes wonder what the best tunning device would best suite his current and near future mods. He is already planning on the beefing up the fuel system, he just needs to know if he should go for something small like S-AFCII or will he need/should get a piggyback system?
