Best suspension for an FC
I dont want a drift suspension, I want a suspension that rides good, takes corners on a dime and never slides, but it needs to be a smooth ride, beccause im not feelin the stock suspension anymore. its too damn rough, im sure all you guys know that you can feel every rock in the road. let me know what you think.

I have a hard time believing that You will get what you want. You want it to turn on a dime and never slide but you also want it to ride good. You also cant rely on suspention alone, Tires and alingment Do just as much if not more. Oh and the most important part of driving is the Nut behind the wheel, If you cant tighten that you will never turn good. and you will never get a setup that "will never slide".

But seriously if you're complaining about the stock suspension being too "stiff" then you should just get a different car... Any aftermarket suspension will only serve to make the car handle better... It will in turn be stiffer than stock... Beyond that it's all about how well you understand the dynamics of tuning a suspension...

he's probably refering to the fact that with 20 year old struts, the stock suspension feels like being but in a steel box and rolled down a flight of steps

My old worn out suspension felt bad, but not rough. Kind of like truck or something, soft and had alot of body roll. Even just tokico struts with RB springs felt alot stiffer than that, but now I want more! lol
Seriously, go ride in a car with coil overs then see how rough you think your suspension it
You could get tockio illuminas. They are adjustable so you can change how it rides alittle. Then get some eibach progressive rate springs.
note: none of that will help much if you have crappy tires

The RX-7 feels like a f'n luxury car (remember it has shocks that have probably around 160K on them) compared to the miata.
Edit: and I can vouch personally about crappy tires= crappy handeling.

i don't believe there's such a thing as "best suspension" for the FC. a good suspension is judged by the driver and his habits. now maybe the "best suspension" is one that you can adjust in the most ways, but i won't touch that subject...
anyway, get some type of adjustable suspension, and play with it... you want a smooth ride? go with a "soft" set-up...

I could give him a ride in the Teg. I have 27mm T-bars up front with Koni yellows, GC coils in the raer(425lbsin) and koni yellows also.

Its not the tires, because i just got brand new toyos, its not the alignment because I just got it aligned I think that (and someone said something about this already) because Im running on a 19 year old suspension... things are getting loose, so I guess im not really complaining about the stiffness but the feel of the suspension overall. If it felt alittle more solid It would make me feel good, but I know that I need to start replaceing the suspension because when I was getting the body of my car fixed up, the mechanic said that I needed to start looking into one... Im guessing its from back when I was like 15 and 16 I used to drift around every corner I could possible. And to dumbass on this post IM NOT GETTING RID OF THIS CAR BECAUSE OF THE SUSPENSION, I would use this as a flinstone car I i had to, ive had this car since before I was old enough to drive and have put over 12,000 dollers into just fixing up and restoring it, so please think what you would do before telling me I need to get a new car. This car is like my 3rd nut. thanks guys

Why would someone with an Rx7 even step foot in an integra?

If you already have a PERFORMANCE alingment Ignore this post.
You know the stock alingment could use improvement right? Generally If you dont tell the alingment shop to use the settings that you give them you will get the ones that they have. You need more camber, toe, caster (Im not sure on the specifics). And if I remember correctly the FC doesnt have a rear camber adjustment, so you would have to get a camber kit.
But If you already have a performance alingment, Your all good
And If all you are looking for is a solid feel, You probably wont need a performance alingment. performance alingment numbers can make the car feel twitchy, handles good though.

also, you can't compare spring rates car to car, because there are large differences in suspension design, so the effective "wheel rate" will be different. it depends on the suspension geometry.

You never even stated a price range btw... That would help... But I guess since you've invested over $12,000 into it then money is no option... Here's the answer then...
PENSKE full coilovers! They only cost about $40k but hey it's the best!

i would have to say 90% of rx7 owners i meet have another car they use as a daily driver. especially now the way gas is. my 7 is my daily driver but thats only because i cant afford to have 2 cars haha. if i could tho i would gladly drive a honda/acura simply for the gas mileage and reliability they have. seems kinda rediculous to come on this forum talking **** about integras and as sombody said above me, the fact that you drive a tc does anything but help your case lol
