Best Short Shifter

Hey, I am sick and tired of this stock long throw shifter. It's 6" I belive. I have driven cars that have a throw of about 2" and loved them. I searched these forums and the net. All I found was the mazdatrixs short shifter and some other generic brand. Are there anymore? I heard C's makes them, but have never found any. Please help!

I got mine from mazda racing http://www.mazdaracing.com/

I LOVE IT... its a compleate kit.. easy to install... what a diff it made more me.
Some people say its a lil too short. but I differ on that one. I think its perfect. Somthing like 60% less throw... it says on the site

Where did you find the C's one? I also want the one with the least amount of play.
Thanks

With the shift **** off the shift lever, I measure just a little over an inch to move from neutral to 3rd or 4th.

What are you basing your comparison on sunshine?

I'm just curious on what makes one shifter better than the other.

I have a C's, and love it, so I'm curious as to how the Mazdaspeed one is better.

Oh, one tip for people getting short shifters, get the ones for the S5, even if you have a S4, cos this makes getting shift ***** much easier, and more varieties.

Mazdaracing is the best.(although I don't know about the "C's" I have never seen specs on it.

I have a mazdaracing unit. Its wonderfull. I didn't have any trouble with them at all.

Im all set to get an S5 Mazdatrix one myself (especially since I have an RX8 **** already)

Ive always heard they were the best to get, but then Mazdatrix is the only one I know of thats reasonably priced outside of Mazdaspeeds

if your still using the stock shifter or even not, make sure to replace all those damn rubber bushings, they get worn out and make the shifter feel like ****. its a night and day difference with new bushings compared to extremly worn or non-existant bushigns. thats about all the experience with shifters i have to offer.

Mazdatrix says their's reduces throw 40% and mazdaspeed says their's reduces 60% and some1 posted that the mazdaspeed has the least amount of play so I might go with teh mazdaspeed one if I can't find the C's SS kit.

Mine has absolutely NO play. None. It moves MAYBE 1.5" from side to side (1/2-3/4) and shifts VERY nicely. This may have more to do with your actual tranny/bushings and the such... but mine is not sloppy/slacky at all.
