best pressure source for an MBC to prevent spiking?

88 T2 running a T04S with HKS external wastegate and FMIC.

I am considering a Hallman cabin-controlled MBC. I know on an EBC you are supposed to get one of the pressure sources from the intercooler piping near the throttlebody. On an MBC, would it be best to get the pressure source from the compressor housing, or should I tap the intercooler piping near the TB? I know you are supposed to run one line from the pressure source to the input of the MBC, and then another line from the side port of the wastegate to the output of the MBC. Top port of wastegate should be vented to open air.

And please, save the EBC vs. MBC discussion for another thread.
