On the engine...seriously!..I kid you not Kid.
there are 2 hoops on the engine. One at the front, driver's side, just above the CAS and one at the Trans,on the transmission/engine bolt, near the passenger side.

(why ya yankin your s5 TII..ahem,I need parts!)

How about the 2 lift hoops?! lol

One is Sticking up from the upper intake manifold, the other is to the right of the alternator and part of a large bracket that holds the intercooler, attaches to the 2 rotor housings. NA should be similar. If you can't find these life points, have some one else do the swap for you.

It might have been removed. Use a chain, bolt it down to the rear of the UIM and another source towards the front that is strong and there you go.

They are extremely handy. I have a bunch. I usually keep them off the motor to clean it up and then attach it when I need to pull the motor.

Undo the top bolt of the trans(the bolt by the wiper motor,on the top, that holds the trans to the engine) and put a chain on there with some BIG washers,so the chain won't slip off that bolt.
Look at your Front Iron,by the power steering bracket, above where the CAS is,you will see a threaded "bump" for a bolt.Use that area to attach another bolt with the chain on it.

here is a link to an ebay engine, you can see the hoop behind the upper manifold, and also beside the alternator.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-MAZDA-RX7-13B-FC3S-S5-Replacement-Engine-and-Transmission-Direct-Fit-/151174901514?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AMazda%7CModel%3ARX-7&hash=item2332b9ef0a&vxp=mtr
On My S5 I took them off,so I used what I told you to use in my previous answer. The engine came out like butter.

That's what I get for being lazy and not finding that "tail stock plug" I had.(front section off an old driveshaft).

None of us should quit their day job.

Don't bother tipping your waitress, she'll hate you anyway.
