Best place to get a vert top?

Does anyone know the best place to get a replacement convertible top?

Mine has tears in the sides, just like everyone else's gets. What's the most cost-effective replacement?

This is a direct fitted replacement. Really good price too. I got the link from other vert owners who have used them. They also have fasteners and such for our cars.

Here's the one I used a couple years ago: http://www.kwiktops.com/item--MAZDA-...8-92--rx7.html. It looks like it's about the same price as the one above. I had it professionally installed for another $400.

seal is re-useable.

Robbins is the original, and thought to be the best. I put one on almost 10 years ago, the other companies have tried to copy the robbins top- give the business to the guys who put the hard work into making it.

I bought one off Ebay for less than $300. It's crap. It had rain guards, but it didn't have a lip that goes over the body right behind the door, so the installer had to rig something up to work. I don't know if the installer was retarded, or if the top is just that bad, but it leaks bad from all the seals, and they're all brand new. The bad part about it was that I had it done a few years ago, never drove the car in the rain, and then the other day I took it out for a spin and got soaked. I think it was from AABest or something like that.

Just be careful what you buy.

Agreed!

Just as you should never go cheap on a paint job, the same goes for your convertible top. It's one of those deals where you get *exactly* what you pay for.
