Best place to get a N/A motor

What's up everyone. I'm new here, and I just got a 91 convertible. The only problem is that is has a blown engine. I was wondering, where is the best place to get a good, reliable (warranteed), performance motor? I've been looking at www.mazdarotaryengines.com and they seem good, but I was really looking for a little more performance right out of the box, but the main concern is reliability, as it will be my daily driver. Any help for a newbie will be greatly appreciated...

nippon-motors has the longest warrenty that ive seen, its not a rebuild, its an import and costs less than 1k

for Good / Reliable / Warrented moter, i think Pinnaple racing is the only real combo of thoes i can think of

Thanks for the response man. I just checked out the pineapple racing website and the engines look good. Also, the 5y/60k warrantee is the best i've seen. Anyone else heard anything about Pineapple Racing, good or bad? Any better companies to pick up a good/reliable performance motor for my 91 vert? Thanks again.

That's cool man. Which did you get...any performance options? I was looking at the large street port, does anyone know how much hp that engine will push? I guess I have some calls to make on monday. Thanks again for the help.

I'm pleased with my engine from Pineapple Racing. It had a bit of trouble starting at first, but seems to running like a champ now.

As for performance options, theres a whole bunch of them. I'm not sure how much HP a large streetport would be, I think Rob at Pineapple said the small would gain about 20hp. Just ask Rob, he'll answer anything you want to know.

momar, what kind of problems did you have starting it? Were they due to the engine itself, or due to the installation? I just don't want to have any major problems installing it. I need this thing to be reliable...

Since when are J-specs NA?

The hard starting on a rebuild is pretty much normal till they get broken in. The compression will start out low and build up after the break-in miles.

They don't. Not a single RX-7 in J-town is NA.

ok, you need to read some more.

I said. No, they don't. FC's anyway. Meaning, NO NA FCs.

THey have PLENTY Of turbo FCs.

Sure, but those S4 13Bs are turbo 4 port motors. And all the verts there are turbo. sweet, huh

Thanks for the info guys...Seems like I'm hearing a lot of good things about Pineapple Racing, so I think I'm gonna go with them. I just have to give Rob a call and ask a few questions. In the meantime, if anyone has any more info/reviews/advice, I'd appreciate it. I'll keep everyone updated.
