Best place to buy shifter bushing kit at?
all that stuff was replaced I think when I got my short shifter. I do have a related question. What do I do about the shifter bolts threading all the way down but wont tighten due to being stripped out? Only one of three bolts is tightening down properly. I just found this out when I replaced the rubber boot under the shifter
But if you like the way your shifter feels, than your lower bushing is probably still good. If it's bad, you'll be able to wiggle the shifter around when it's in gear, with my new one I can barely wiggle it around at all.
as far as that bolt, you can either replace that whole part of the transmission or just drill and tap it as the next bigger size and use a new bigger bolt.

the lower bushing isn't. Believe me, I just installed my mazdatrix short shifter not too long ago.

for less than 30 you can get all the bushings(including the lowest) and the short shifter... check it
