Best ignition on a T2

i have all the basic bolt on things except an ignition box. I was wondering what has better performance gains on a T2, jacobs rotary power pro pack or hks twin power?

Both are about the same...FWIW, all igniton boxes on RX-7s result in about a 0.5-1HP power increase.

Uh, no....

That overpriced Jacobs box is only for the LEADINGS, unless they came out with a new one that can fire all three channels.

The HKS unit is the only CDI box on the market that can control all three rotary ignition channels...

If the RX7.com boys stand beside the product then it's OK by me And it's working pretty good on my FCTURBO

RP can go kiss my ***...

If you are happy paying their inflated prices, hey, I'm not going to argue with you...

I agree with Ted on this, the Jacobs is way over priced for what you get.

Jacobs own book (the Doctors Guide) says that there is no gain in HP unless you can increase plug gap with most ignition systems.

Of course with the flat 4 electrodes on the NGK plugs in the 13B its almost impossible to to increase the gap any major amount.

I like their "Bonez" line; its like the Lady Lee of the rotary world. If I'm buying an Exedy clutch I would be alot happier to do so knowing I am instead of buying "Bonez performance clutch." WTF is w/ Bonez...?

A lot of the Bonez stuff was rebadged products running under their own name.&nbsp The clutches used to be ACT.&nbsp The Bonez "cat-back" used to be a Walker Dynomax cat-back that was ceramic coated.&nbsp If you compare prices, you will almost guarantee you'll get it cheaper somewhere else.

Look at their Haltech prices?&nbsp Do you know you can get a fully loaded Haltech E6K with flying lead for under $1,200 now???
Look at their prices for their FD parts - GReddy replacement belt for $29.95 (K2RD sells them for $15).&nbsp Secondary fuel rail kit for $695 with a pair of 1600cc fuel injectors.&nbsp Anyone who has poked their head in the Single Turbo sections knows that there's a source for these fuel injectors for $60/each - a $550+ fuel rail???

More FC stuffs...
Fluidyne upgrade rad $549; Absolute Radiator $430
"RP" comp upgrade rad $638; MazdaComp rad $550
"brass" rad $250; you find these under $200 if you look
"RP" double alternator pulley $49.88; RB double pulley $42
Bosch top-feed 1600's $175; we found em for $60/each
etc...etc...etc.

Now, before you get bent out of shape, RP does offer some very hard to find items, like replacement cats, and one of the very few shops that will import hard-to-find Japan (body kit) items...
