Best Gauge Brand To Buy

I am wanting to buy a tachomoter w/ shiftlight, a water temp gauge, and a a/f gauge. Any suggestions on brands to look at? I don't need/want anything fancy.

Autometer.

Listen, I know I'm gonna catch flak for that, but hell, if you buy one, and its readings are off, you can buy another one, and still have spent less than the cost of one Apex'i, Blitz, HKS, etc, etc. I've seen them, they're good quality, just make sure you stay with an Ultra-Lite or Pro-Comp.

Sure are an awful lot of gauge questions all of a sudden. Autometer is a classic brand, of course some people like to buy the Japanese gauges because they think Autometer stuff looks to redneck in a Mustang like. If you don't want anything fancy then just get Autometer.

Isn't that a contradiction? You already have a huge 5" tach with a loud buzzer for free, and it doesn't sit on your dash blocking half the windscreen!

VDO is my personal preference; accurate, easy to read and nicely understated. I don't think they do A/F though.

If you want a cool shift light, have a look at www.t-sport.com

The guy who wrote the testimonial on the shift light is a friend of mine, it's on his RX-2. He loves it, and he's a picky bastard so it can't be too bad!

VDO - I abhor Autometer gauges.

a water temp gauge,
Expensive - any number of Japan brands
I personally run an SPI unit, and I love it!&nbsp Dual (actually triple) color illumination and 270-degree sweep.
Cheap - VDO.

and a a/f gauge.
I like th Cyberdyne/Intellitronix/Nordskog AFR's.&nbsp Keep in mind, this is a DANGER-YOU'RE-IN-TROUBLE gauge, so extra LED's don't necessarily give you better resolution.&nbsp Check J.C.Whitney of Summit Racing...

Hey NZ Conertable, does your friend happen to be Rodger Jones, and are you refering to the T-Sport REV-Lite?
Roger put me onto them and I was going to import some but money got a little thin, still want to get some though. They have sent me one to trial.
