I like the cusom job, <agent smith> mr. anderson. </agent smith> Very clean looking. I was thinking of buying aftermarket carpet as I slowly re-do my crappy interior, but maybe I'll just do it myself. How did you get it to lay nicely?

for the carpet, i had a upholestry* shop help me. basically they laid down a rough foam base over the bottom and heated it to mold it to the shape of the bottom, then two big peices of fabric (which is tweed) was laid over it and was stictched together along the armrest area. this was to give it the smoothest look. and then there is certain areas like the passanger foot area which had to be sewn to fit the form an underneath the seats.... as for the door panels. they were originaly blue, so i painted the vinyl black and covered the existing blue with the black and tan tweed. just a simple stitch to get the two black and tans together and it was wrapped around the exsiting door panel..same really goes for the hatch area. everything was repainted, recovered.. i think i have some pics of the process.
