I'm running the RB downpipe with just a cheap 22" peice of exhaust piping acting as my midpipe, it's unbelievably quiet, not raspy at all either, which I figured it would be. I guess that's from my stock catback

Hi guys what do you think about this exhuast setup, it's been bugging me for a while. 2nd gen turbo.
RB Downpipe, Presilencer, Power Extreme
Is it going to be quiet when cruising and a nice sound when driving hard? I need something driveable, and the stuff I heard about dual n1's scares me, cops are picky here in canada (jerks).
How loud is my setup going to be?

well I am tired of getting the run around with the racingbeat full exhuast, so I'm either going for the 3''dp/presilencer, or the thunderfabrications dp/mp...I'm leaning towards the latter, so I will be able to post my opinion on this shortly

I have that exact same set-up on my 89T2! It is very nice, I love how my TII sounds! And the power extreme looks great!

fitment difficulty for TF dp/mp
I am thinking about getting a thunder fabrications dp/mp. i am planning to run 3" all the way through, to dual 3" inlet mufflers. My question are these...
1. How difficult is the fitment of the dp/mp with the engine still in the car, (my engine is out of the car right now, which is why i just received a centerforce stage 1 clutch), because i may not have time to wait for the dp/mp to be delivered before i need the car running.
2. what gaskets and flanges come with the kit, and if there are none with it, what flanges/gaskets are required for my application of running dual 3" exhausts...since i need to get a custom y-pipe and piping from y-pipe to mufflers fabricated, (which i had planned upon doing anyway).
Thanks alot guys,
Ryan Shannon.

Is the RB downpipe SS?
I want to get CS cause I already have the CS single but The DP is cheaper by itself from RB. Then I wanted to get a presilencer from RB so it will keep the noise down.
CS hasn't finished their presilencer yet so I was thinking of going either RB DP and MP or CS DP and RB MP.
I want stainless just because it is rust resistant and still looks good after a year of driving.

I just ordered a Racing Beat down pipe (only people to make one for verts) and am going to cut my main cat open and just weld in a peice of stright pipe and close it back up to make it look like I still have a cat.
The Thunderfab DP/MP bolts right up to the stock catback for that sleeper look. Makes for an interesting sound too. Pretty quiet at idle and very aggressive at WOT.
I'd buy it again, at $175 you can't really go wrong. It's been one year since I picked mine up and I have yet to see a bad review on the forum.
