best deal for lowering\handeling

I picked up a nice lookin set of rims from my "supplier" (aka pep boys.....shhhhhh) because I had an incident with a mailbox that prompted me to get new tires. I got\get all the race tires I want (slightly used, but hey....free is free) problem is that they are lower profile than what I had on the car before and there is a hefty gap inbetween the wheel wells and the tires. whats the best bang for my buck for either shocks, lowering springs, or possibly coil-overs. I was looking into getting tein coil-overs, but if i'm looking to go to the rx8 around summer time, i dont want to drop 1500 on shocks. Here is what the car looks like now......too much room there.

PST has/had KYB AGXs for $399/set. i dont know if its PST.com, but i believe its Performance Suspension Techniques (mainly deal with domestics).
i have non-adjustable Tokico blues which can be had for around $350 or so (from my experience) and Intrax springs (which i didn't buy -- came with car).

I have Tokico HP struts along with Tokico springs on my GXL, and it handled just as well, if not better than my Turbo2 which had KYB adjustables and RB springs, which were alot more money. Most people dont really use the adjustability of the KYBs, so IMO the Tokicos are really a damn good combo.

For the best value in lowering and improved suspension damping, I would check out Ebay for used combinations of aftermarket struts with springs installed. This car was lowered with Tokico HP struts and Eibach springs.
