Beginner info

HI, my name is Brandon, im currently looking into selling my 89 probe gt, and purchasing a rx-7. I was wondering if you could list some of the common problems for the second gens, that i can look for. Also i was wondering how reliable the cars are. I was also wondering how the prices are for parts. I used to work with a guy who had a 91 rx-7 n/a. I liked it, i really liked the sound of the rotary. I tried searching the site for info, but couldnt find much due to lack of sleep. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Brandon.

Umm.... Don't buy a car with 150k plus miles on it unless your ready to do a rebuild. If you smell fuel when driving then you need to replace the pulsation dampner before your car catches on fire. The s5's are better at not catching on fire than s4's.

Those are my personal experiences. I bought and drove my car for about 6 months before finding out I'm burning coolant and need to do a rebuild. Now it's been down for about 4 months while I work to get the money to fix it. I've had shitloads of trouble with my car, you have no idea. Most of which I blame myself. But I know when it's done is going to be f***ing kick ***.
