Beggining mods on 87 T2

Ok, im getting my engine rebuilt and streetported this week. Im removing all emmisions equipment, running 'turbo-back' 3inch straightpipe, and doing the TID mod.

When I open up the intake and exhaust the air will flow alot better and therefore boost more. So what will I have to do?
Do I get a boost controller and port my wastegate? am i missing anything? is there any way around porting my wastegate?

What should I do? what have some of you done? any advise / comments appreciated

might want to invest in a fuel cut defensor(FCD) to prevent fuel cut when boosting around the 8.6psi area.

Send your injectors in to be cleaned?

if you want to get a better turbo you might want to buy a used 89-91 turbo setup that will bolt up to your 87 setup. Better turbo. But yes if you are going to be racing it around at the lights I would say get the injectors cleaned and might even buy some 680's to drop in as secondaries to stay safe on stock ecu while your old secondaries are getting cleaned. Once they are back switch them for the old primaries and you are in buisness.
