a beebee

I don't have a restrictor pill for the boost sensor, so I used a beebee. I noticed that it seems to have worked, and I know everyone is going to tell me to get one from the stealership or mazdatrix, but will this work temporarily?

Your "beebee" has a hole in it?
You just make your boost sensor USELESS.

nah, the beebee isnt big enough to block it totally. Air passes fine past it.

also, the guage on the dash shows that it is reading, and the car isnt running jerky in stop and go traffic, so IMO it is working ok, may not be the best, but its fine.

You can remove it entirely as a temporary measure. This can cause hesitations however so make sure to get the proper pill from the dealership.

Does the vacuum line from the boost sensor need to be a certain length? The reason I asked is because I cut the line to get the resrictor pill out yesterday. Didn't know what it was until now. I'm gonna put it back in, but someone told me that the length of the line might need to be specific? Just wanna make sure before I put it back together. Thanks.

the dealer had no idea what i was talking about when i asked him for the restrictor pill. I ended up drilling a 1/32" hole in a small, cylinder-slightly conal- shaped piece of plastic that fit snug in the line. it made a big difference in the smoothness of the boost sensor signal from the rtek logs

Vacuum line can be any reasonable length.

You will find the FC parts catalog in the FAQ. From it, you can get the proper part number to order with at the dealer.

Anything that fits snugly inside the vac line and has a 0.5mm (0.020") hole drilled through it will work fine.
