A beautiful day

so, I open the mail this mornin and I had a package from www.fc3s.org, apparently my award for dec. car of the month...a cool engraved rotor shaped plaque!! so i got a bit inspired, cleaned the car and went to a local dock at sunset for some nice pics. I didn't use any light modifiers, (PITA) so I just picked the dock w/ the nicest view and took tons of pics (filled 2 memory cards) at super-high quality then picked the ones w/ the best colors/shadows. Of course, i had to kill the quality to post them, but u get the idea. Here are a couple of my favs, a lil mysterious

Hey! Great looking car! That's not a shade you see every day. I like what you did with the front bumper. I would have never thought of that. Your car looks good with the black pinstripe, and I rarely have seen a car that I like it on. Yours is the 3rd, and I've seen a lot of FCs. I've also been looking for a picture of a car with the mazdaspeed front lip on it. I think I'm gonna get me one. How was the fitment? Was the install easy?

Rotor shaped plaque? I want one! Hopefully I can do what it takes to get me one... All in time... All in time...

Congrats on the award, and again, nice car!

Go to http://www.fc3s.org/car_of_the_month/december.html to see more pictures of this car

-Matt

I had to run out before or I'd have posted the rest...heres a couple more for you guys, and thanks for the kind words!! I'm trying to get into photography a bit and cars seems like a natural thing. BTW, this is the factory color (most of the car has been resprayed) called claret mica. most FC owners I meet haven't seen it on a car, the paint code is 2H...I think it was available just for 88 (not positive)

yes, there are some pics on www.fc3s.org, taken by a friend at a little RX-7 meet some of the NE people organized. I didn't have my camera yet, I wish I could have submitted these pics instead, (the ones on fc3s.org I photoshopped for contrast and sharpness, a lil too much haha). These are un touched ('cept for the license plate...I was thinking about keeping the plate # on...I don't think any of the forum guys are about to hunt for my car or anything, everyone here is pretty cool. Did it anyway, everyone else seems to hehe. I took this last one when I pulled into my development bc HID's conversions are such enjoyable upgrades, get your hands on a kit if you can, it's easy to install and they work SO well, I have a kit on the GVR4 too!! I tried to take a couple pics while driving on the way home (the route home was windy and lined w/ trees, great road) the camera didn't like movement though, still gotta play w/ all the drive settings. Hope you guys enjoy, I always love seeing pics of peoples projects!! Please share...

the plaque, not exactly rotor-shaped but you get the idea. much thanks to dave @ fc3s.org, seems like a really nice guy and knowledgable about FC's. check out the site, the winner for car of the year has a mean S5!!

I love that color. If I buy another S4 FC, I'm seriously looking into getting the burgundyish "Claret Mica" or Arctic Silver.
