Bearing noise - Anyone disassemble P/S, Air Pump or A/C clutch?

I am currently replacing the A/C and P/S idler pulley bearings, and am wondering if anyone's ever disassembled the P/S pump, A/C clutch or Air Pump, in case I need more projects. The FSM and training manuals don't show enough.

Seeing as those items are all cheap and readily available in working order your efforts might be put to more effective use elsewhere. If it is making a noise identify the source and replace it with a used part

Thanks, but no.

All items in subject are functioning as well or better than used parts I may find around. I'm just looking for info on how some assemblies come apart. A lot of times something can be fixed for cheap, when time is of no concern (my car will probably be off the road for another month).

My point is this: I am replacing two idler pulley bearings with name brand high quality bearings at a cost of $16 for both. How much would two pulley assemblies be? This doesn't even take into account the fact that some of us like working and taking things apart.

I was trying to pull my Smog pump apart and got it down to removing the shaft and cant get it out. I've tried about 4 different pullers with no avail. I'm thinking of just shelling out the 65 bucks for a new one. Getting all the guts out were easy, cleaning was easy and now it turn again. Can't put it back together without removing the shaft, so I'm stuck

Pictures, please. As many as you have time for. Very interested. You may have missed something that's preventing the shaft from coming out...I'm thinking c or e-clip or snap ring maybe.

(Most people just replace the assembly with a used or new one, but this is more about the challenge. One can probably change some bearings for a few bucks and have the thing brand new and learn along the way.)
