Battery relocation.

Why do people relocated thier batteries to the trunk? Also, what is needed? A little skill of McGuyver or can you just buy a relocation kit?

its for weight balancing, the weight of the battery somewhat balances that of the driver. and it moves more weight to the back instead of the front. all you need is a ground, and a connection to the starter and the fuse box. relocation kit is good enough

i relocated mine due to having a fmic and wanting a less cluttered engine bay. Mine was made for 40 bucks at a hardware/house supply warehouse.

I went overboard.
I ran 0AWG from the battery to at distribution block in the engine bay.
From there I ran 0 AWG to the starter, and 4 AWG to the alternater through the fuse box, of course.
