battery hooked up wrong....headlights fried?
My buddy connected the battery the wrong way for a second and then once we flipped it around and connected it properly the headlights got stuck up an wont go down.
Retractor fuse looks ok, and the cleaning switch is not on

If you're lucky, that's all that fried.
Pull the cowl & switch.
It may be just a burned plug connector.
Does the engine still run?
Your "buddy" owes you for that one.

ouch.......who has hooked an old heliarc welder to a battery, thinking it was a battery charger???
Oh wait, that was me back in 1977! I was about 13.
Back to you KK.
The current was backwards. So if everything works then it works. The electrical system is on or its off. period. Find the short on your headlights and chaulk it up to experience. Your buddy will step up if he is in fact a buddy.
