battery- car dead- again..help!

Exclamation battery- car dead- again..help!

i just put a new new battery in my car to start it up and see if it would hold a charge and keep running and the headlights worked great and i turned the key...and nothing...didn't even turn over...and the other lights on the front and back worked great..the headlight came up very quickly and everything..i do have no gas...but if i had no gas it would still turn over right? what is going on here

^^^ This is exactly what just happened to me. Go get all your circuits tested............ mine ended up being my alternator just starting to die on me!

funny thing...i just put a new alternator in like a month ago thats why this is so baffling to me...thanks for the help though

Is it a new one or rebuilt one? You might have just got a faulty one. However, doing a curcuit test will track down the problem pretty quick, and you'll get to see how the rest of the electrical system is. At least it will end the guessing game.

Your local mechanic shop, that has the equippment to do it............ Make sure you trust this person to do it, becuase if you don't know how much volts certain parts should be running at, they can basically tell you that parts are bad when they are acually good!

same problem.. needed new alternator... make sure your mechanic puts on a better then stock one.. just incase you wanna do something to the stereo later on
