Batery Relocation Prob (need help)

Ok I just finished putting my battery in the back. The car did not start the lights didnt even turn on. Thier was no power. THis is what I did.

Thiers 2 wires coming out of the positive, a big one a small one. The big one goes to the starter. ( I replaced that) The small one goes to the fuse box. ( here I just disconected it and jumped a wire from the fuse box directly to the Alternator)

IS this correct???

no... both must go to the battery... there is already another wire from the fusebox to alternator. nothing in your car will get power now.

eh? What I did with mine is I ran a thick cable from the battery to the existing positive hookup for the battery, ran the battery negative hookup to the frame, and ran the negative terminal of the battery to the frame.

What Gene did, thats how I would do it. Id just take out the battery stand behind the drivers head light, and hide the stock terminals/wires to clean it up a bit.

Are you saying that I will have to splice my new wire from new battery to the old dirty battery cables? I still dont get it but I do understand how my current setup isnt working. I think I would rather run another 8gauge power cable to the battery.

Running your new thick cable to the old terminal doesent sound advertising. Can you elaborate? Is thier a way to do this without having to splice them together?
